Wow, what company at the Keeping The Blues Alive Induction ceremony! Sat next to Mike Vernon, the legendary producer who did 8 John Mayall albums along with 10 Years After, the original Fleetwood Mac, Savoy Brown and virtually every U.S. bluesman you can think of (talked his ear off for 3 hours!); Tony Mangiullo, owner of legendary Chicago blues club Rosa’s; Pete Carlson, one of the only non-native Americans ever allowed to film their ceremonies, and producer of multiple award winning blues documentaries; as well as winners from Spain, Norway, the Netherlands, Poland, Finland and Germany. The blues truly are International. I am so humbled to be part of this class of 15 in ’15!! And thanks to Dana Somayaji for coming in from Ottawa, and Bruce de Bree from VT to share this moment.
