Wednesday, November 30th – The A.W. Rich Funeral Home is hosting a Holiday Pet Remembrance Service on Saturday, December 3rd at 4pm at the Elley-Long Music Center, St. Michael’s College, 223 Ethan Allen Avenue at the Fort in Colchester.  Register by November 30th and get a free personalized memorial ornament with your pet’s picture.  A reception with refreshments will follow the service.  Donations to benefit the Vermont Police Canine Association and Lacey’s Fund will be kindly accepted.  To register, email

Friday and Saturday, December 2nd & 3rd  – St. Ambrose in Bristol is having its Candy Land Christmas Bazaar in the parish hall from 1pm to 5pm on Friday and 9am to 5pm on Saturday.

December 3 from 9AM-2PM – St. Agnes School Christmas Bazaar. Fill all of your holiday needs and get into the spirit of Christmas. There will be baked goods, gifts, toys, crafts, wreaths, trees, holiday plants and lots of wonderful raffle and silent auction items.

Saturday, December 3rd The Ladies of St. Ann Church at 41 Main Street in Milton are holding their annual Holiday Bazaar with a wreath and bake sale, a soup luncheon and raffle from 9am to 1pm.  They are also taking donations for the food shelf and winter gear for those in need in the community.

Saturday, December 3rd St. Agnes School, 2322 Saranac Avenue in Lake Placid is having its Christmas Bazaar with baked goods, gifts, toys, crafts, wreaths, trees, a raffle and silent auction from 9am to 2pm.

Saturday, December 3rd Cosmos Cuts Pet Grooming Boutique at 4 Southerberry Drive #102 in Milton is having a customer appreciation day with giveaways, free holiday pet portraits and snacks for people and pooches from 9:30am to 1pm.

Saturday, December 3rd Bristol Federated Church at 37 North Street is hosting The Christmas Bazaar with a bake sale, lunch, silent auction, a craft table and local vendors from 9am to 3pm with a visit from Santa.

Saturday, December 3rd The First Baptist Church of Bristol (the white church behind the Bristol Green) is holding its Christmas Bazaar from 9am to 2pm with great gifts, homemade baked goods, talented local crafters, vendors and lunch.

Saturday, December 3rd A Gymkhana is being held at Wagon Wheel Farms, 1840 State Route 11 in Mooers, New York starting at 11am.  The day includes raffles and refreshments.  All entry fees are being donated to area seniors and families, who are sponsored.  For more details, go their Facebook page.

Sunday, December 4th Troy’s 8th annual Toy Drive is taking place at Albert D. Lawton Middle School, 104 Maple Street in Essex Junction from 4:15pm to 6:45pm.  Drop off one or more new, unwrapped gifts for Toys for Kids of Vermont and enjoy train rides, live music and a visit from Santa and Mrs. Claus.

Sunday, December 4th  Shelburne Players is holding auditions for its March production of “The Somewhat True Tale of Robin Hood” in the Pierson Library Community Room at 5376 Shelburne Road from 6:30pm to 8:30pm either night.  Rehearsals begin January 17th and the production is weekends from March 17th 25th.  Callbacks will be for December 8th.  Go to

Tuesday, December 6th – The Dairy Business Innovation Center is holding an Info Session and Workshop about grants available to farmers, food safety training and new cooperative milk production models at the Emergency Services Building in Enosburg from 11am to 1pm.  Learn more at

December 16 from 4PM-7PM – “Holidays are for Sharing” Toy Drive at The Wooden Nickel. Donate a new, unopened toy to help provide gifts to the children of Essex County, NY. Appetizers will be served. Basket raffles and 50/50 drawing will be available to help raise funds to support the program. All donations stay within Essex County, NY.

December 17 from 2PM-7PM and December 18th from 1PM-6:30PM – Vermont Ballet Theater is pleased to present their luxurious production of The Nutcracker ballet at the Flynn Center for the Performing Arts in Burlington.
