Ahead of their summer 2025 UK stadium tour, Coldplay announced they will donate 10% of proceeds from their sold-out shows at Hull’s Craven Park and a record-breaking 10-night run at Wembley Stadium to the Music Venue Trust, supporting grassroots music venues facing closures across the UK. Frontman Chris Martin emphasized the importance of nurturing new talent by preserving these small venues. “I just know that I would always want people younger than us to have even more opportunity than we had, and certainly not less,” Martin said. Guitarist Jonny Buckland called grassroots venues “the breeding ground” for vibrant music culture, highlighting their critical role in launching Coldplay’s career while urging their protection amid widespread closures.
