The non-feud between Green Day and Charli XCX at Coachella culminated in a fun and lighthearted resolution on Saturday night (April 19). The playful “spat” was started on the first weekend of the festival, when Charli was shown wearing a cheeky “Miss Should Be Headliner” sash following her set, poking fun at the actual headliner that night, Green Day. Not to be outdone, drummer Tré Cool shared a photo of himself donning a toilet paper sash with “Actual Headliner” scrawled on it before Green Day took the stage on the second weekend. During the performance, Billie Joe Armstrong was beaming as he proudly donned a “Brat” hat on stage. While the initial incident caused a social media buzz as fans speculated that the artists were really fighting, it ultimately was all in good fun, with Charli even praising Cool’s toilet-paper sash as she re-shared the photo in a tweet she playfully captioned, “Obsessed.” (Rolling Stone)
